ORBIT IRRIGATION PRODUCTS, INC. PURCHASES EQUITY INTEREST IN MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN CHINA

Orbit Irrigation Products, Inc., a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of irrigation and misting products for the commercial and residential markets, announced today the purchase of an equity interest in an irrigation products manufacturing facility in China. Orbit purchased its interest from Edwin McAuley Electronics Limited based in Hong Kong. The manufacturing facility, which is ISO 9000:2000 certified, will henceforth be known as Orbit EME Manufacturing Limited.

Through this joint ownership of Orbit EME Manufacturing Ltd., Orbit Irrigation Products Inc. and Edwin McAuley Electronics Limited will continue to develop, manufacture and market a complete line of high-quality and innovative irrigation products to customers throughout the world. Orbit CEO K.C. Ericksen and EME Chairman Edwin McAuley jointly welcomed the initiative stating, "The agreement announced today formalizes and strengthens our existing joint venture relationship and will enable us to leverage our consolidated strengths even more effectively."

This initiative further extends Orbit's strategic global expansion efforts. In 2003, Orbit opened a sales and service office in Shanghai, and expanded its operations in China with the purchase of an equity interest in Di Tai Plastics Corporation located in Ningbo, southeast of Shanghai. Additionally, Orbit has earned ISO 9001:2000 certification, which serves as an international reference for quality management requirements in business-to-business dealings.
